Flowers are one of the most versatile subjects in tattooing: they suit almost any part of the body, work just as well in miniature as across a half sleeve, and every species brings its own character. In our gallery you'll find everything from long red fine line lilies running down the arm to a colour half sleeve of lotus, lily and lavender.
Every tattoo on this page is the work of the artists at our studio in Barcelona, a short walk from the Sagrada Familia. Each artist draws flowers in their own way, so we'll help you find the one who best suits your idea. You can often drop in without an appointment; for a larger or more personal piece, message us on WhatsApp and we'll plan the design together.

If meaning matters to you, the flower you choose says a lot. Red roses speak of love and passion, peonies of prosperity and good fortune, and the lotus of rebirth and rising above hard times. Lilies are often linked to purity and new beginnings, lavender to calm, and poppies to remembrance, which is why they turn up so often in tribute tattoos.
The chrysanthemum shows how meanings shift between cultures: in Japan it stands for longevity, while in much of Europe it's tied to remembering those who have passed, which is why it sits so naturally beside the skull and lantern in our gallery. Many people also choose their birth flower or a loved one's favourite. Symbolism is a starting point; what matters is that the flower feels like yours.
Style changes everything. In fine line, a flower becomes light and delicate, as in Euge's red lilies and poppy or Marta's red lily. Red ink fine line gives a soft, very current finish that feels less stark than black. Colour, on the other hand, adds volume and presence, like the red peony Marta tattooed on a shoulder or Damaris's half sleeve with lotus, lily and lavender.
Neo-traditional goes for bold outlines, rich colour and plenty of personality: Nuky's woman with yellow flowers and red berries and the strawberries framed by blossoms are good examples. If you prefer black, Margo's linework flowers, Nuky's solid black sleeve and Mirna's black and grey sleeve with a fawn and roses prove that florals can be striking too. We'll help you match the style to the story you want to tell.
Long-stemmed flowers love elongated areas: the forearm, the side of the arm or the spine, like the fine line stem Euge tattooed down a back. Rounder blooms such as peonies and roses shine on the shoulder, thigh or upper arm. For a single small flower, the inner forearm, ankle or collarbone are safe bets that are easy to show off or keep covered.
Thinking long term, size matters. Very fine strokes and tiny details tend to soften over the years, so small flowers benefit from simpler lines and a bit of breathing room. Larger pieces, such as a half sleeve, allow more detail and can grow later with new flowers or other elements. We design it with you, considering how it will age rather than just how it looks on day one.

It depends on what you want to say. Roses speak of love, peonies of prosperity, the lotus of overcoming, lavender of calm and poppies of remembrance. If you're unsure, tell us your story and we'll suggest one or more flowers that fit, not only in meaning but also in shape and the size you have in mind.
Absolutely. You can pair your birth flower with your partner's or your children's, add a name or date in fine lettering, like Marta's pink lily, or bring in other elements: the gallery includes a dog with red roses and a fairy-winged frog among pink flowers. Birth flower lists vary between traditions, so we'll check yours together.
Yes, when the design is made for it. All lines soften slightly over time, so in fine line we avoid packing details too tightly and choose a size that lets the drawing breathe. Keeping it out of strong sun also helps it stay crisp for longer.
